headaches

I pretty much have a permanent headache. Most of the time just lurking in the background and never really goes away, I'm pretty used to it and the lurky ones don't bother me so much now.
Once in a while it will rear up like a mean ugly dragon.
I should have known today would be a dragon day because on the way to work I was seeing vertical blue chunks in the sky, at the time just figured it was the way the hazy sun was playing tricks on my eyes against the different coloured clouds.
As the day went by it grew gradually worse turning into a real eye wobbly blind one side migraine making me feel nauseated to the point I couldn't eat my lunch. I are just enough to get some ibuprofen down me just to take the edge off. I took breaks more often today to get my eyes unglued from my computer screen.
Even so I was in good spirits. There was much joking about in the office today with the sales guys in for meeting. Me Phil and Dale made a fake parking ticket for one of them for parking in my disabled space. Our truck was parked around the side today anyway but it was fun to lark about.
By 3pm my spirits we're flagging. My right eye was pretty much useless and both we're puffy and swollen half closed and watering. My head pain now encompassed all of my head and down into my neck. The sales guys were filtering out for the day, the bosses had left. I tried doing less computer work and sorted out some papers instead. Four o'clock came and Phil came out to chat with me about something and took one look at my face send said to finish off what I was doing and pack it up for the day. We'd been in early all week so I didn't feel like we were cheating. I was glad to be going home. Once there my head didn't go but did ease enough that I could eat my dinner.
