Maybe I have it?

Hi! My Doctor suspects that I have fibromyalgia (my mother has it too). I have had a weird burning sensation all over my body for 1 1/2 years now. It's always present on the front of my legs (shins) but fluctuates over the rest of my body. Sometimes the burning sensation is intense and other times it is tolerable. Many times I feel like I have the flu (sore through, achy body, really hot). OTC pain relievers don't seem to do anything at all. Anyways thought I would join this forum to see if anyone else has these symptoms.

Hello Liz welcome to the forum. There is a lot of great people on here and also a lot of great information. Has your doctor ever done the pressure point test on you? If not you should ask him to. Maybe you should see a doctor that is really familiar with fibro.

I think she pressed on a few points but not sure she actually did a test. She is a general practitioner. I am thinking I should try and find a specialist at Stanford or something.
