Default My coping tool for today...pace myself

Pace myself. This seems logical but I guess I felt like I should be able to do everything the way I did before fibro because I take medication. Wrong!! I now realize the only way I'm going to accomplish anything is to do a little bit at a time. I don't get much accomplished but this is my new reality.

Default Re: My coping tool for today...pace myself

When I pace myself... as in do some housework, rest for half an hour or so, do a bit more, rest and so on, I tend to be much more productive than I used to be before my diagnosis. Back then I used to go flat out then would crash and burn and wonder why.
I'm getting used to my new reality and it's really working for me. You will get better at it. I think it's the best advice I have had from this forum.
