Default Nail Psoriasis

Many months ago, like 6 or longer, i kept banging my thumb nail. Iím a klutz!

When I went to get my manicure it appeared that I had a nail fungus. Got some stuff to use and seemed to get a bit better, never went away. Been going up and down with it. Nail also lifting off the bed as well. Been keeping that nail cut way down. I do the NexGen powder dip nails and if I do not use something on them, then my nails just keep breaking down to the quick and worse. I do not put tips on, do not need to when I keep something on them like the NexGen.

Went last week to get a manicure and two more nails on same hand appeared to have this ďfungusĒ. Finally today I thought maybe I should look up the connection between nail fungus and autoimmune disease. DUH! I have fibromyalgia and sjogrens.

Based on every comparison between nail fungus and nail psoriasis, appears that I have psoriasis.

Has anyone else had to deal with this?
What did you end up having done as far as treatment?
The antibiotics they mention also mention that they have some not so fun side effects. ?

Thanks!
