Default Med Questions

I was diagnosed a couple of month ago. On Prozac and Gabapentin. Generally, I can take Gabapentin twice a day and do okay. However, yesterday I forgot to take it before leaving for the day and didn't take it till bed. I'm feeling pretty rough today despite having taken two doses! Is this normal after missing yesterday?

Some people are very sensitive so missing a dose can very well contribute to the increased pain. You will know soon enough if the pain decreases when you’re back on track with your meds.

I take gabapentin too and yes it can have an effect on you like that because this medication has what they call a short life. This means it only lasts so long and then the next dose takes over the last and so on. When you miss a dose like we all do sometimes that leaves a gap in your pain control, like as if you only took half a dose.

So just try to take it on a regular basis and it will work just fine. Hope you feel better soon. By the way welcome to the forum. i am glad you found us.

Thanks!! I've been diligent and doing better. I was quite surprised how poorly I felt and I appreciate the guidance.
