Hello my name is Tim.
I was told I have fibrositis when I was 16, I am now 48.
For years I have put up with pain, not really understanding what was going on.
I also have arthritis, so I always put the pain down to that.
Never could understand why the pain was in my muscles...
My GP has now told me that she suspects that I have fibromyalgia, something I had never heard of before. I did not know that in the UK fibrositis is the old name for fibromyalgia.
I went to the GP because my body finally said no more.
My memory is shocking, spelling bad.
Tired all the time, pains in back, neck, hands, wrists, knees, jaw..
Just all over really.
I am like a little old man in the mornings, no disrespect to old men...
Not much fun this is it..
Still, keep smiling.

Hi Tim, I feel for you mate. Tough enough to have fibro and to an extent it does make you feel like less than a man at times. At least I feel that way from time to time. Anyway good luck and hope to see more posts from you.

Hello Mike.
Thank you for that, yeah I do feel useless sometimes..
My poor wife, she is having to do everything at the moment.
Bless her.
I hung the washing out on the line the other day, 1.5 hour rest afterwards...!
Still, keep trying.
I don't want to give up, but sometimes you do feel that way.

Thanks for your time,

Tim.
