Hi, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2010 when I started having headaches every day. When the doctor told me my diagnosis I was hesitate to believe him, I thought he just didn't know what was wrong with me. I had never heard of fibromyalgia before. I took lyrica for about 6 months and it didn't help at all it only gave me awful side effects. I just gave up and took excedrine several times a day. I then started having pains in other places like my knees, ankles, toes, shoulders and then major pains in my lower back. My hands, stomach and legs were swelling very bad. I've gone to kidney doctors, back specialist and each one found issues, I have cyst on my kidney and I have 3 bulging disc in my back, but nothing they have done for me has helped. I have recently become very tired all the time and not sleeping well. I'm under a lot of stress with a son in the military and another teenager that has been getting in trouble and I read stress causes flare ups so I guess my doctor did know what he was talking about. I'm hoping to get to know some people who are going thru the same things I am. Thank you for reading.
