Hello All,
I am a newbie to this forum. I was diagnosed about a year ago with Fibromyalgia. I have been suffering for years and just thought it was restless lets, aging and over weight. About three years ago I developed sores in the inside of my lips and a very tender tongue. After seeing a few dentists (my dr's advice) and a few dental specialists no one new what it was. My dr. finally decided to consult a dermatologist who after quite some time he decided it was Pemphigus. This diagnosis was made by tele health visits and the nurse taking pictures with a regular camera of my mouth and sending them to the dr. He also required a couple of biopsies as well as extensive blood work. He was stumped and finally said it was pemphigus. This is also when I started to tell my dr about my sore legs, sensitive skin etc. He told the dermatologist who then said maybe I have lupus and sent me to a Rhumotoligist (not sure how to spell it) she told me it definitely was not lupus but fibromyalgia and sent a note to my dr. I have not been to the tele health in about 2 years and my dr. has moved so I do not have a new dr as of yet.
