I've been living with Fibro for three years, lost medical when I could no longer work. I moved closer to family in Illinois and needless to say the Medicaid program doesn't pay for any fibromyalgia drugs that actually works.
The drug companies don't give help to anyone on Medicaid.
Now they are controlling pain meds to the point that I have no relief. I even wanted to try cannabis which just became legal here, but it's $200 to even apply.
At the last straw.

Welcome. A few on here use cannabis .
We can't in the UK. So can u get tramadol that what I use.
And I've heard Epson salt bath help a lot .i don't have a bath or I'd try it.

im getting my mmj card paper work in this week. $350
im see if it helps at all. i know when i ordered the CBD lotion it helped a lot.
about $30 a bottle. ordered online and they delivered it to the house.

I feel you. I'm on Medicaid in Missouri with the same issue. My doctor has told me that all that Medicaid will let her prescribe me right now is Neurontin and it's not really doing anything at all that I can tell. I'm trying to find a new doctor that has more experience with fibro, but none take my insurance. I think if medical marijuana were available here my parents would help with the expense to see if it would help, but that's not even an option for me.

I understand I am currently in the same spot. I am looking for other ways to relieve my chronic pain because doctors wont prescribe my tramadol
Isn't that what doctor's are suppose to do is prescribe meds that help you. Tramadol doesn't help enough to live my life but without it I wouldn't be able to leave the house or drive because the pain is that severe.

I feel for you in the US with drug restrictions. We pay in to our system but then all our healthcare is free. There are limitations for really expensive cancer meds etc due to costs but easier for us to see specialists and i dont think cost comes into pain relief.

I don't think strong narcotics are used freely here though only for cancer etc . 3
