Hi everyone,
First day on the fibro forum, still not officially diagnosed after 2+ years of countless tests (you all know the drill). Even after being non-responsive to conventional chronic pain treatments and pain relievers, eliminating all other disorders, having all the symptoms and meeting all the criteria for diagnosis based on the recent Canadian protocols and having a positive trigger point test, I'm still being shuffled around to specialists to confirm my diagnosis. My GP is unfortunately unfamiliar with fibro (although she agrees this is what I have) and even more unfamiliar with specialists in the area (Victoria/Vancouver Island BC Canada). I've called around to rheumatologists, local advocacy groups and national foundations and haven't been successful with finding a proper specialist.
Anyone out there know anyone serving the Victoria/Vancouver Island BC Canada area?
Many thanks in advance!
