Real downer of a day

My morning swim was a delight as usual with my ladies giving me a good giggle. That normally sets me up for the day but as i was getting dressed that telltale down below dullness aching was starting to bother me, i knew I had to get home and soon. Yep IBS had come visiting again so soon. I had gone into a bit of a remission where it had stopped be such a constant distraction a few months ago, but the last few weeks has been getting more and more troublesome. Not only is it an annoyance sitting on the throne for so long and for so many times but its a pain I find hard to handle, more than any pains in my joints and muscles,or the headaches, or the dizzies.
Yes fo me the IBS is just about the worst thing that came with this condition. It tires me out more than a day in the garden. The fatigue can last for days after a bad bout, Its like every ounce of energy disappears down the toilet with the rest of it. I consume all the thing the experts say to control it, probiotics, prebiotics, fresh fruit veg and home cooked whole foods. They say to eat lots of fiber but that for me seems to make it worse. ok I like my sweet thing but Im not silly, I know too much of that can set me off so I try to keep it in moderation and if i dont then I know I have to suffer the consequences. occasionally its worth it, but when i've been good and still have to suffer it really pisses me off no end.
Its my mood that suffers the most. IBS really get me down, more than anything else, its the thing that makes me feel the most useless, it effects the way I walk as those cramps and spasms, even when you have emptied out, dont stop all day so i tend to be a bit hunched over. its affects my ability to concentrate, and my social life as i know i cant go anywhere without a half decent loo around. It soon got me over my phobia about using public toilets. My hand bag has to be heavier to carry so I can take along certain toiletries I have come to rely on, Spare pair of knickers and wet bum wipes, sometimes if I know I'm going to be out a while I will take along a spare pair of lightweight leggings just in case. You'd think, with all my food going through me at the speed of the train in the Channel Tunnel I'd be skinny as a rake but I'm still struggling to get my weight down to 135LBS (9 and a half stone)- just another 10lbs to go but i cant seem to crack that one. I got the Doctors in a little while, to be told that nothing more can be done for me at this time, have another barrage of blood tests and whatever, a total waste of time usually. I dont think my new doctor is that bother anyway. just as long as I can get her to refer me to a rhumatologist (yeh i can spell and neither can my spell checker apparently), so I shall gather my things and head back out and hope beyond hope that my episode has subsided. wish me luck.
Blessing to you all for taking the time on the rantings of a dotty old fart.

I know exactly what your dealing with. It comes out of the blue just when you think your actually eating better etc.I agree IBS is worse than all the other FM symptoms put together. Hope better days are ahead for you.
