I am wondering if anyone has had difficulty switching to generic Cymbalta. I have had a rough two weeks since changing over with increased pain, fog and fatigue along with an escalation of depression and anxiety. I didn't put two and two together until I ended up in hospital on Sunday. They thought it was heart, but likely a major panic attack since all cardiac tests were fine. I've had panic attack in the past, but this was over the top. I know there are a number of manufacturers licensed to make the generic. If you've had success with one, could you tell me which it is. You can tell by the markings on the capsule. Mine is made by Lupin. It doesn't have all the tiny beads, just 8 or so large units. Wondering if this is impacting how the drug is being released or absorbed by my system. It really sucks!

I have never tried the generic form Cymbalta or never even heard of it. I just remember when I was on it I felt like a real life zombie. I remember just sitting on the couch staring at the wall with thoughts racing through my head. It made me feel emotionless and never stop the pain.

I had the same experience. It deadened me. This generic must be new, because it didn't exist when I was put on Cymbalta last year. And as we know, new drugs tend to have lots of problems at first.

Problem with new drugs is something I'm definitely trying to avoid. I had the same problem with Lyrica, Savella and, Amitriptyline. It's something about these depression medication, they actually make me depressed. One day I was talking to my doctor and I told him that if he didn't prescribe something else I was going to stab myself in the hand to see if I would yell out or cry. I was just that dead inside.
