I am in week 3 of severe fatigue. I had to stop working this past February. Fortunately these days my biggest concern is getting to my doctor's appointments, and I've been making myself get to them.

But I hate that almost every other waking moment, I feel like a giant magnet is pulling me down and making me sleep. I feel as if I've been drugged or sedated like before surgery!

I know this is common, I'm just sick of it after 3 weeks in a row. :(

Thanks for letting me vent.

Hi Tessie, Sorry you are feeling soooo tired! Or is it sick and tired of being sick and tired? Lol! Hang in there! Hope you feel better soon! Soft Hugs

Thanks. :) Yes I'm definitely sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I'm up early today because I have an appt in 45 minutes and I have to stop on the way to put gas in my car. I'm already looking forward to going back to sleep when I get back.

Tessie, I'm sorry you are feeling so fatigued. I've been going through a spell of the same. It's been this way for months and I can't seem to get past it. I'm fatigued most of the time, and much of the time I can't sleep. Sometimes I just close my eyes and lay in bed, doing nothing. I've tried walking to see if I can shake it, but it doesn't help. I've done the same thing as you. When I have to go to an appointment, I'm anxious to get back home so I can lay down again. I wish you luck. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired as well..... Good luck! :)

terbaer, I'm sorry that you're going through a rough spell. Are you doing any better these days? My severe fatigue has a lifted a little; I'm not sleeping all day anymore, but I don't really have much energy either.

Hang in there, everyone. And thanks for the good wishes and comments.

I've had a few days this past week that have been a bit better. I actually got my house somewhat cleaned and had a friend join me for grocery shopping. So I'm still semi fatigued, but now I'm into my daily headaches. Ugh! I've invited friends over Friday night. I'm looking forward to it, but am anxious as well. My parents are so sweet. My birthday was in August and they told me that for my birthday they wanted to have me get my house cleaned a few times. I've decided to use one before my candle party Friday. I'm trying to live and be normal, whatever that is....LOL....Thanks for checking in on me. I'm so glad you are doing a little better....Keep in contact.....Ter

Tessie,

Have they checked your vit d levels ? Saw you are from boston...vit d deficiency knocked me on my ......
I had fatigue with fibro but nothing like what happened with the low vit d...my crashed after last winter, it had probably been questionable before that.
When i was tested it was 19, at the end of summer i was able to get it to 46 and still going

Hi everyone:

I had been feeling relatively ok as far as fatigue goes, but so far this entire month I've been extremely fatigued again. Looking back, I can now see a pattern when this severe fatigue is starting to hit; I start to cancel doctor appts because I just can't get out of bed and/or out of the house to get there; my laundry gets backed up; the house starts to get messy. It's like a cycle. Right now I feel useless. :(

LLM1: I've had blood work done recently it showed that I'm low in calcium, so I take calcium with Vit D, but I don't it twice a day like I'm supposed to. That's my fault. I'm going to start adding it to my regular line-up of medications that I take all day, and see if that helps. And you're right regarding being from Boston, and the cold weather and not getting any natural D from the sun.

Ugh! I'm sorry Tessie. I too have been fighting fatigue again. It's been several weeks. I hate to say that even my daughter missed a day because she had been under the weather and I couldn't get up to push her to go to school. I have to shake it off! Waiting for this to all pass..... :-(

Hi Tessie, I am new to this. I just wanted to share hugs as I have been experiencing the same fatigue! Its making me more irritable and depressed because I'm so exhausted, yet, as soon as I do finally fall asleep either the twitching sharp pains wake me up or I have to switch positions since it pains me to sleep in one position(muscle pains and sore skin!) Hope you get some rest soon!

Check the b12 levels. Mine are now back at normal and I get sleep and no longer
Pass out. They had to give me shots for it as the OTC are not strong enough.
Stay well and keep updating us here in the forum.

Also for fatigue i use d ribose...currently buying a brand called dr's best .i am useless without it....i read about it in a medical newsletter years. ago and believe me , i never run out..

Right now, we are having storm systems which i really react to...i feel barometric systems like crazy...my breathing even becomes more shallow, which makes me more fatigued. .

Tessie, i see you guys are suppose to get blizzard conditions, does this also effect your fibro?

Cmetryme, I don't know if they have checked my vitamin B12 levels or not. I do take vitamin B12. I'll bump it up. You said something though that got my attention. You no longer pass out. I have had multiple episodes of passing out. Usually it's when I'm severely fatigued and push myself. Although it hasn't happened as often since I haven't been working, I still have had an episode or two. I hadn't heard anyone else talk about passing out before so I never mentioned it.

I have been in such a fatigued state lately, I'm accomplishing almost nothing. My husband, bless his heart, gave me kudos yesterday because I told him I FINALLY got the laundry folded from two weeks ago. He said it sounded like I had a productive day. I feel so bad because he works out of town Monday-Thursdays. Many times he comes home and has to do dishes and housework. I have spent a huge amount of time in bed. Too fatigued to get up. Or, I'll get up for a couple of hours, then need to lay down again. I'm ready for some energy....

If you take OTC B12, you will get the most bang for your buck using the liquid that you put under your tongue. If your B12 is low, this will cause fatigue, pain and weakness. Since my system doesn't absorb B12 properly, I give myself injections twice a month and take a daily supplement to keep my levels up over 400. Note that the US says your B12 is low at 150-175, while other countries mark it at 400. If your B12 levels are at that "normal" level, definitely use a daily supplement. It will make a difference and it won't hurt you.

So did you just ask to have your B12 levels checked? I've had a ton of blood work, but nothing identifying B12. I'll try to find the liquid form of it and see if it helps. I'm willing to try ANYTHING! This has gone on for months now.
