This may seem like a small issue but I just can not get out of bed before 11-12 in the morning. I have 2 alarms but i turn them off and usually don't remember. I've tried going to bed earlier but I just sleep longer. This is an issue for me because I can;t make any morning appointments or do anything in the morning. Even having my husband wake me up is tough. I don;t want to sleep my days away.

I'm truly sorry to hear your suffering.. the bouts of fatigue are no small issue.
How long has this been going on for you? Are you taking anything at night that might induce more fatigue (i.e. muscle relaxants, melatonin, sleepy teas) making it harder for you to wake?
Fatigue has been a real issue for me as well and still is occasionally. I've incorporated vitamins (especially the B's) into my diet which seem to help some.

Thank you for your support. It's been going on for over a year now. I've worked with my Dr. to either get off of, or move my fatigue causing medications to earlier in the day but there was no change. I have no trouble falling asleep because as you know pain causes fatigue by itself so i don't take anything like melatonin or sleepy tea. I just started B12 and an adrenal support supplement. Hopefully mornings will get easier.

Oh goodness, that's an awfully long time to be dealing with a symptom, especially fatigue, but definitely not uncommon for many of us. I wish I could be more help to you. As I had mentioned, I do notice a difference in my energy levels when I'm taking B vitamins (I take a super B supplement every morning that includes them all plus vitamin C). Getting up and moving around helps to keep me awake for the moment but does nothing to help in the long run.. I think the B12 and adrenal support is a great idea. Can't hurt to try.
I know that, what works for one, may not work for another. Don't give up trying to find what works for you. I know it's not just physical trauma that you're going through, it's a huge toll on our emotional health as well. I emphasize and I do hope you find some relief. ❤

I don't know if you have considered you may have a form of narcolepsy. I was so tired and sleepy all day I was sleeping my life away. After years of fighting it with caffeine and anything that promised a lift that was legal :) I finally spilled all my frustration out to my Dr. He researched a little and said he thought I had a form of narcolepsy and prescribed Ritalin 3 20mg through the AM and 2 20mg afternoon. It really helps. I have to see the Dr. every 3 months but that is a good thing. It's not perfect because after a while you become used to it and it's not quite as helpful but the Dr said to quit taking it for a day or two and works better again. I don't have any side effects and if I run out there is no withdrawal I just start sleeping again. Don't know if this helps but I do know how depressing sleeping all the time gets.

Thanks for the advice - I have an adrenal support in my cupboard. I will definitely give it a try. I will keep trying until I find something that works.

That is a new and novel approach which gives me some hope. I certainly have some of the same symptoms that you did. Up here in Canada CBD oil is legal so I've tried that too. My Dr. & I will definitely look into it. (I see him often) It is depressing sleeping all the time. I notice that you were diagnosed in 1980 so I appreciate your wisdom . Thank you.

CBD is legal here too but so far I haven't noticed any help at all. Doesn't mean it won't help others. You just kind of try to search out what works out for you.

I personally found that CBD didn't help me until I combined it with medical cannabis, THC. The studies that have been done on it say that it is much more effective if combined. Unfortunately, medical cannabis is not legal everywhere. I sure wish it were.
