Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed several months ago but lately the stiffness and pain has got worse, My knees are so stiff and the tops of my thighs so stiff and painful that it is hard to get dressed. Have so much difficult in putting my legs into trousers it is so depressing, I think the worst is the pain which seems to be in a circle around my back side from under my shoulder blades around my ribs and into my chest, is this usual, it is really worrying me, I just didn't expect to feel pain there. Pauline

Hi Pauline,
I found the pain is a result of consuming too many foods, or exposure to chemicals that my body has an intolerance to, once I found the triggers were eliminated from my diet then the body's inflammation was reduced. Foods that have anti-inflammatory properties help, olive oil, fish, any omega based foods, also adding in healing foods such as bone broth. Investigate the process of developing your own food diary to work out your food triggers, also I organised blood tests to find out mineral and vitamin deficiencies. Once such process was getting a genetic test focusing on nutrition strengths and weaknesses, see Dr Denise Furness, Australian Genetic Nutritionist - please mention my name if you contact her.. She organises a test to investigate your bodies ability or inadequacies of nutrient absorption which affects your ability to heal, detox or retain nutrients. This was a powerful beginning because you can't change your genetics, so you can mould your new diet with genetics in mind. I hope this helps. Cassandra Luxmoore.

Hi Pauline
I to have pain in my shoulder blades, my ribs and chest. My mother and sister does as well since we all have different levels of Fibromyalgia.

Hello Pauline
I sort of have the same problem ... ,recently diagnosed with femoro-patella, difficult in bending left knee and go up and down the stairs...
Apart from a variety other symptoms with fibromyalgia...

Pain from FM can be anywhere in the body unfortunately.

Thanks for your reply, this Fibromyalgia is so different and much more painful and pain killers don't seem to help at all, I need to lose some weight and am trying and hoping this might help. Take care, Pauline

Hi, Thanks for your reply this condition does certainly have lots of symptoms and I am never sure which bit of me that is hurting is the Fibromyalgia, at times it seems to be all over, I have chronic back problems due to disc problems which of course makes things worse. Once again thanks for the reply and keep safe, Pauline

All very normal symptoms by the sounds, its also much to do with you adjusting to now knowing...have you tried a salt float therapy session, a 45 min float has me recharged for a while..it does get better..im going on 13 years......stay positive, keep reading and stay connected..we are in this together....

Vit D deficiency and Vit B12 Plus low iron in my case mean i was dragging s foot behind me years back.
A good place to start is with your GP if you are in uk. testing is free for deficiencies, treatment can dramatically change things. I am in middle of a flare i know ive got fibro but i keep an eye on the vit and mineral intake. All the best with this
