I somehow got exposed and was sick starting March 16th. The body aches were even worse on top of the fibromyalgia ones.
I had a mild case and didn't have to be hospitalized over it,but it was the worse thing I had to deal with as far being sick.
Nothing helped with the muscle aches. It took me nearly 1 month to get through all the symptoms but feel much better.
Anyone else have to experience this horrible virus?

Not yet and I hope not ever. I have flu like symptoms often enough just having fibro! Glad you recovered and are doing well :)

I hope no one gets it but that's a long shot. Just be careful. It's worse with fms

I didn't know that flu-like symptoms were associated with fm. Now I don't feel quite so crazy. Sometimes I will wake up in the morning with a sore throat (not super sore, just a bit) and slightly swollen glands, and just not feeling great. But by mid day or afternoon it's all gone. Sometimes this will happen 5 days in a row. It has been so strange I have not even mentioned it to anyone. This has gone on for a couple of years at least, only happens maybe once a month or less.

From what I have read many people talk about flu like symptoms with fibro :( For myself like you I feel crappier in the morning and better later in the day. Those symptoms come and go and are pretty random. Frustrating at times, wondering what brings them on. I have come to the resolve of accepting all this new normal.

@Drummer76 definitely
I believe there’s a few of us that have had it. Apart from all the usual symptoms - I was left with leg stiffness and pain which i’m only now tackling. Im newly diagnosed, newly on duloxetine. Its been a confusing time!
I used to do pilates right now im unsure whether to push myself to do painful exercise or not - this feels like a flare up. If anyone has tips gladly received. All the best y’all.

@Geeena If you have the muscle/joint cramping/pains like I did,maybe take a break for a few days. If you have muscle relaxers,they seemed to help with the muscle/joint problems. That was one of the worse symptoms for me besides the sore throat. I didn't want to get out bed without the muscle relaxers kicking in. I'm on 8mg Zanaflex 3x a day if needed,which are short acting but work quicker then others I have been on.
Unfortunately for me the meds made for FMS I don't tolerate very well and have tried several. Dr gave up and said I was a rare one that has trouble tolerating a lot of medications. It's a bad thing for me because I want to get off disability and work but she has already told me it will be impossible.
Hope you get feeling better and watch your temperature any signs of chest pains or breathing problems. After it's over you may feel short of breath for a few weeks until your lungs heal up. I did but I'm better then 2 weeks ag with that part.

thank you so much ☺️ for your reply - very very useful thank you for taking the time to do so
i did take some proper rest and also taped up my knees with kine tape both have helped a lot. Its hard to get the balance right between rest and doing too much - all the best
