Hello everyone,
I am so happy to have found your forum. After 2 and 1/2 years of tests and visits to specialists for chronic pain, I have finally been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I still feel in limbo, however, because my pain is unilateral (shoulder, chest, back, hip, flank, glute, leg ... but only right side). I also do not really suffer from a fibro fog or fatigue ... just constant pain.
It is important for me to understand my diagnosis so that I can accept and make peace in my own way. I feel that this diagnosis was just slapped on me because my family doctor does not know how else to label this pain. Also, I am interested in trying Dr. St. Amand's diet for fibro, but it is a difficult diet and not something recommended if you do not have fibro. I do not want to embark on an unnecessary diet if my diagnosis is not correct.
If there is anyone out there with unilateral/one-sided fibro, I would be delighted to connect with you. If anyone has further thoughts on my question, I would be so happy to hear from you too. I really feel alone and confused.
Thank you so much, my friends,
Jenny
