How are you today?

Im glad to hear your wife is improving that you are also!! Bonus on the energy front though!!! Now its just being careful not to burn through it all and pay for it later (i am well and truly guilty on this front)
Whoops, you caught me red-handed there! 😊 The morning sun and the garden inspired me - gentle work, but too much peopling and 4h altogether, Ache unnecessarily went back up 5 rest of the day. But: worth it. And I'm thru with it. Well, no got a brilliant strenuous new idea... It'll only take... Oh shut it! 😁 (Will talking about it on the potty thread help or make it worse?... hm....)

Oh @JayCS i had to laugh at that, that is so me!!!! It is often far to tempting!!! Right now i cant really walk properly after my ingrown toenail op and im really struggling not to drag out the vacuum cleaner and 'just do a few small things'

My fibro pain is still floating at a consistent 6(goes up when i dont keep on top of my pain meds, magnesium cream, and zostrix cream). I know its not worth it but its super bloody tempting!! Having my floors vacuumed is one of my 'things' i hate having un vacuumed floors but im getting better at not overdoing it(most days anyway!!!)

I really get that. And moving lots of stuff up, down and around and de-cluttering has increased the dust.
For the laminate floors I get down on the floor with dry or moist hands and sweep it all together. Most days. Carpet in my own room would need vacuuming, but if I'm not up to it, I'll use a dustpan. It's a lot worse when our guineas with bits of straw and ... stuff.... are allowed in my room for an hour, but at the moment I'm letting them suffer a bit too... enough to concentrate on getting food in myself. Mental energy for 100s of web things, but coaxing them and offering them their beloved fennel is "peopling" & a strain. Texting is a strain. I explained my grandkid's mum that today. I'd written her a long mail (several times) which she never replied to, but she texts me. Well if I'm too old-fashioned for her that's her problem. I answer, but short. And am watching for the strain.

When I didn't-have-CoV I once had the urge to vacuum, but lifting it up 3 inches once: that was that....

My biggest thing is dog hair, easy enough to sweep up of laminate floors but carpet, nothing for it but a vacuum or I'll be there for HOURS!!! Love my two furbabies though they give me so much love and joy ❤️❤️❤️

And BOOM out of nowhere my left shoulder goes down for the count, gets in on the action whichever works for you. My shoulders are my most acute/highest pain score point and always have been 😔 that'll teach me for contemplating doing my vacuuming

I'm ok, hun. Thanks, yeah, it's pretty much at the end of it now (still in a bit of pain from the op, but) I'm ok, thanks, take it easy with that shoulder 😚 💗

When I was bit fed up in bed when I came home after hospital I bought myself an angel aura necklace, im not used to be buying myself nice things , (or being nice to myself for that matter, but im learning to change) so I just Put this up to remind ourselves that we deserve to treat ourselves and be nice to ourselves too (I can be nice to people all day long but I forgot about me aswell 😊) ps if anyone likes my necklace i got it from psychic tree they sell different types of necklaces, (different types, colours/crystals wall art all kinds) this was £12.99 (and a couple pound extra delivery charge) 20230319_095943.jpg )

Dog hair? What dog hair? That's my accessory!
One of the best things I have done recently is put in a new waterproof laminate floor. What a difference that makes! Carpet, when you live out in the desert with dogs, is ridiculous. I could vacuum that carpet all day and not get all the dust and dog hair u p, and it looked awful if I went more than 2 days without vacuuming.

With the laminate floor, I can just spot-sweep, and vacuum maybe twice a week and it is great. I have a vacuum that has the ability to shut off the roller, so it's safe for the floor, and it goes so fast compared to vacuuming the carpet. And it looks great even if I have let it go a couple days too long. I highly recommend it if you can do it.

If only!!!!! Sadly i am renting at the moment, when my partner and i split he brought be out of the house we owned together, and unfortunately i wasnt able to buy a place despite a pretty good deposit.
So at the moment it was a case of buying a better vacuum than i had and it makes dealing with the dog hair a lot easier(when i can manage that) at the moment its vacuum a room at a time, my shoulder has not backed off 🤦‍♀️

I found this. I thought it was cute, and I don't have hope you feel better soon emojis

@Auriel that is so cute!!!!
Well doc appt, we are going to try backing off the amitriptiline(kind of trying to do a reset as for the first 6 months on it were amazing pain wise, so backing off reducing that and going to add pregabalin, but we shall see about the pregabalin as last time it made me super sleepy as they say take one morning and night, but if the drowsiness is a major doc has said to just do two at night. Lets see how this goes, and then we will look at another steroid injection into this f-ing shoulder, now that its been long enough since i had the hips done 🤦‍♀️

I can just spot-sweep
Ah, that's put me on to quick dry mopping.... instead of crawling around on all fours.
I hate wet mopping etc. cos cleaning the mop after is such a strain on my wrists and ruins it.
vacuum a room at a time,
Always.... unless I'm feeling really good...
The other day I drove my wife nuts once again, cos I vacuumed the carpeted stairs downwards, then got something out of the cellar and brought 2-3 things in my pocket and the vaccum up again... Yesterday I drove her nuts cos shops were closing soon (as they do here) and she/we needed 7 things. I calculated perfectly, went to my bike 15 minutes before closing time and was back home .... before closing time. I may have had to get her woman stuff, but I still don't need to go on vacation in the shop... I love shortly before closing time, it's fastest.
I found this. I thought it was cute
Oooh, gotta show her that, she'll love it! First day work after her CoV, I think too soon....
