    How do you manage?

It took me a long time to learn to manage this. I have learned to recognize what my triggers are and when I feel one starting I go to bed to sleep. I have learned to accept that I cannot do as much at one time as I used to. The most important thing I have learned is that if I don't take care...

    Care to help?

It sounds like fibro to me. I would ask your neurologist to order blood work to rule out ME or MS since he sounds like he listens better, I would then take the results to a rheumatologist. My PCP diagnosed my fibro. If possible you should also see a neurologist.

Change of medication, coming off Gabapentin

I agree that most Drs. don't know what to do with us. I go to my rheumatologist and the first thing he asks is how is my pain. I am fortunate that I do not have a lot of pain. I believe the Cymbalta has a lot to do with that. MY pain is caused by osteoarthritis in my back. I have learned...

    Some comfort before the doctor

Is there any swelling? If there is it sounds like an autoimmune disease. Some of the diseases can have random symptoms that do not seem connected but are. I know this because I have Granulomatosis w/ polyangiitis where the symptoms are like this. Also, within this disease, there are other...

Neck and upper back pain and sensations help

This sounds like narrowing of the tube (I don't know the medical term) that runs completely down your spine. It carries the spinal fluid throught your spine and when the tissue around it starts to narrow it slows the flow of the fluid which can cause pain in your neck, arms, legs, lower back...

    Really worried about symptoms

I would try to get into a spinal doctor a neuro spinal doctor would be best. To me, it sounds more like the nerves that travel up and down your spine because they can cause symptoms elsewhere. I had neck and lower back surgery to correct some of the same symptoms you are having. Hope that helps.

Print out the symptoms of Fibro from several reputable medical research facilities or clinics (I live in the US and I like Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland clinic) check off your symptoms, and take it with you. There are no blood tests for Fibro it solely a medical exam. This is what I...

Most doctors do not like it but if you present what you found especially from Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, UT Southwestern to name a few research hospitals and schools. If he completely ignores the research you brought then it is time to find another doctor.

I have dry eye \ mouth syndrome also. I use eye drops for dry eyes and a mouth rinse for dry mouth. This seems to help. If you keep eye drops and dry mouth rinse and try to use them regularly you should notice the difference in about 10-14 days.

    Appealed social security's decision

Have you ever been screened for bipolar disorder? Age has no limit to screening. I was diagnosed when I was 63 and I should have tried to get help before then. Fibro by itself might not be enough for a disabled diagnosis but look at your other ailments but combined it could possibly get you a...
