    Fibromyalgia Pain Management...

I was referred to a pain clinic by them based in Wales in 2007 were I met one of my closest friends. There was a handful of people leading the course including a physio and a nurse. We were given handouts discussing chronic pain, fatigue, medication, with some work to complete at home including...

That's very interesting, I'll take a look at the wiki myself to bookmark, it could be another option for me.

    Laundry drying dilemmas

I almost bought a heated airer but recently bought a dehumidifier with a laundry mode and a curtain rail to replace my rack as the utility room is quite small. The dehumidifier has been used twice and clothes were ready to keep after a day, possibly less, compared to a couple of days with the...

    Lack of patience?

I think it's only natural for our patience to become short with the constant stress of Fibro. My heart goes out to you caring for your mum, I cared for mine for ten years as she suffered with Parkinson's and dementia. With all the things you have to do it can leave you feeling like you just want...

Apps or Games to Pass the Time

I'm sorry that I did not learn to play chess when I was younger, worth thinking about but may be too much for me now. @Jemima I've tried Lumenate, very interesting, will play it in the evenings this week and see what happens.

Fibro fog, groggy speech and jumbled words

That's a nice way of putting it, symptoms and their impact on life can feel overwhelming leaving us isolated and unable to get the measure of it. Your previous post was very helpful, I hadn't realised dropping things could be related, it's something I've been doing a lot.

Fibro fog, groggy speech and jumbled words

Thank you, that is a lot to think about, I shall take my time and read up on the supplements mentioned. Have been in two minds about lowering Pregabalin from 450mg to see if the fog improves and I still get relief from forearm nerve pain. Elsewhere I shall have to be more disciplined with things...

Fibro fog, groggy speech and jumbled words

It's difficult knowing what to do for best with Fibro fog. Pregabalin makes it worse for me but does calm down severe nerve pain in my arms. I wonder what can be done to mitigate the fog? Can only imagine what people think of us and would like to be past caring.

    Laundry drying dilemmas

That sounds handy thanks, I've ordered a small dehumidifier to test. Apparently switching it on nearby the clothes rack with the laundry room window and door closed will draw moisture to speed up drying.

    Laundry drying dilemmas

Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely be running the wash on high in future, it made a big difference in last night's laundry, their still on the rack with no smell so far.

    Laundry drying dilemmas

I've been waiting for my brother to garden for me, local gardeners are expensive and hard to get hold of. He's done the front garden for me but it's finding the time. Upsetting not being able to do it myself, I used to decorate and garden. Cleaning the back room this afternoon but I'm wiped out...

    Laundry drying dilemmas

Although family help with laundry when they visit, they are not always available and I need to work out how best to dry clothes (shirts especially) without shrinking or a damp smell. I have a small utility room with a washing machine and dryer at the back of the house. There's a stool on wheels...
