Sorry to hear about the stress @JayCS, I heard about it this morning and wondered what happened. You have been a very active and helpful member since long before I joined. It would be a shame to lose you from the group, but your health and well-being comes first. Hopefully we'll see you again...

Memes: A Touch of Humor for Us Fibromites

It sounds like you have had a awful time of it, ankylosing spondilitis is cruelly painful. Muscle strain over the ribs makes just taking a breath painful, a dislocation sounds horribly uncomfortable. It's shame the immune suppressant was interrupted after giving some relief. My heart goes out to...

We definitely hit that point at times and need to vent. It gets maddening to live with and can be difficult not to snap. Better to vent with amongst friends here and maybe listen to some heavy music.

Memes: A Touch of Humor for Us Fibromites

Hi @hope23 I'm maybe feeling like 3 today as I've been zoning out with brain fog and a bit like one as I'm circling the idea of a drink ;)

    Dating!

@Surviver 45 I wish you well in future, who knows who you might meet or when. I'm no expert but setting boundaries seems important. Mixing with people that have similar interests sounds like a nice idea. It would be company, the chance to get to know people and perhaps even some romance to...

    Emotional effect

From what I've read and heard Fibromyalgia suffers regularly experience fight or flight causing stressful symptoms. In my case I freeze up and can't think straight. Sometimes there a muscle spasms in my arms. Looking back it seems stress was a big part of it in a lifetime of bottling things up...

    Bad Day

Morning, my brother pops round most days while walking the dog, occasionally I'll look after the dog for the day, he's good company. Otherwise a couple of friends have a dog at home that I'll see when visiting. I aim to chip away at housework through the week, slowly working from the front of...

    Bad Day

Unfortunately not as far as I know, it took a long time but at least I'm listening to music again. I've had to let things slide with the house and garden. Chip away at what I can do with dusting and get help with the rest when family have time or get paid help occasionally. I'm not able to stay...

    Bad Day

I would have wanted to carry on life as a musician, drums were the favorite. Looking back im grateful to have met someone I clicked with musically who became my oldest friend and is a bass player in a great local band. Otherwise I could have taken after my father as a builder, able to get in...

    Bad Day

I think I could do with a testosterone boost, who knows it might help, knowing my luck I'd probably get carried away and try to run through a wall. It's helpful to read of others experiences such as learning to live with pain. I shall be reading this page from time to time to help with my...

    Mood Elevating Playlist

That's a nice list, a friend of mine is a twitcher and great at picking out bird calls. He's been teaching his grandson who's finding new appreciation for our countryside. September by Earth Wind and Fire came to mind today.

    Bad Day

It's nice to hear of the pleasure in simple things. These are easy to miss, understandable when we're feeling rough, but important to remember and experience. Although wet and windy lately, the other day I decided to stretch my legs in the garden while there was a bit of sun. Just standing with...
