Bulldog mama

In 2001, I had a horrible fall, both feet out from under me and I woke up, looking at the lights not knowing what happened! After that, very strange things started to happen to me. I couldn’t walk fast anymore. I would be walking and all of a sudden I would get an ice-pick like stabbing in my knee, or my ankle, my SI joints were inflamed all the time, my elbows would start to ache as soon as the barometric pressure dropped, then the rest of me hurt so bad!
I started to do research on the web and discovered FM. As I read about this horrible life-changing condition, I decided it was time to go find out if this is what I have!
I finally convinced my PC to send me to a rheumatologist. In 2007, I was diagnosed with FM.
My case is not as bad as some, but the pain is the same for sure.
As I age, I am starting to get all the ailments that you get with aging, osteoarthritis, etc. some days I feel so old.
I have also been diagnosed with cervical dystonia, cervical stenosis, facet degeneration in my low back. I have IBS, cold weather is extremely painful.
I have depression and anxiety along with PTSD. I almost committed suicide in March of 2020. I promised my husband I would not do that, but if I end up getting a life-ending disease, I’m not going to fix it! I am just so tired of being in pain day in and day out. My dogs saved me that day, no one knew where we were, and I could not leave them in the car by themselves so I am glad they were with me that day.
That’s me now. I try to be upbeat, and do the best I can!
