  • Hello to you all 😊 With fibro I tend to spend most days in pain. On Sat I felt the best I’d felt in ages. At a wedding reception on Saturday I had some wine and danced but had to stop due to horrendous pain in my hips, back, feet and legs I’m still in pain now. It still hurts to walk. Has anyone got any suggestions how to ease the pain please? As nothing seems to be working. Many thanks

Hey Dink, The best I've got is to do everything you can to try to relax. Ice packs in the mean time too. The more I can calm myself down and get extra sleep when I overdo things, the faster I bounce back - but its sadly never very springy!

Thank you so much. I’ll try ice packs. I find it a real challenge to rest as it affects my mental health, think I may have to start meditation again xx

Me too on the mental health - not easy to turn the dial! I also use mediation, plus breathing exercises, and binaural beats. I hope you feel better soon 🌷
    Good morning
I have recently cut down my hours at work. Although my work is now much easier, Im still struggling with aches, pain, heavy legs and exhaustion etc. I no that working is good for mental health, but irs getting too much. Im worried about money, I have been told to claim PiP (I’m in the uk) but I have been told to hold off claiming because I have to go for an MRI scan. Please can anyone offer any advice?

    Hey Dink,
People may not see your post here - you'll probably get more responses by opening a new thread. Glad you've slowed down but sorry it's added stress. I managed to transition to work I could do from home, but I know its not the easiest thing to do. I'm not sure about navigating disability payments in the UK, but hope you find the help you need soon!
