Where is the weirdest place you hurt? What are your strangest symptoms?

👏 - well, as long as you're here, you're so never needing that again. There were times where I'd thought about dabbling in other realms, like a Sjögren forum, but I think to focus on priorities it's good to keep to our best bet until we've gotten well under way. I've pretty much ignored CFS all...

Tracing Origin of a Fibro Flare

Nah, other way round - she wdnt wanna swap with mine for one second!: My wife sez/feels I shd dramatize and moan around more... Hehe - but when I occasionally do, she's not happy either. She sees & feels my pain more than I do myself. But over decades of pain, I've learnt to become a happy...

Whoops: OK, I stand corrected: I would consider it...

Where is the weirdest place you hurt? What are your strangest symptoms?

Oh I thoroughly agree & disagree 😅: Technical terms are shortcuts that a) help pinpoint & track symptoms, to prevent &/or alleviate them, or understand one symptom in the context of others. b) to quicker see which conditions they are associated with, e.g. fibro or others, to communicate about...

Could that be termed allodynia d'you think?

Does overwhelming fatigue come with fibro?

Long Covid is easy for medicine to diagnose, because of being able to see the preceding infection. Whether that makes it easy to find what causing those symptoms is another matter. Our symptoms also/already intersect with quite a few other chronic pain diseases. Like other viruses, trauma etc...

    Fibromyalgia and exercise

Agreeing with @sunkacola and @Jemima, I just want to add by focusing on the "injury" part, an interesting question: Perhaps distinguishing more between single pains and the general Ache can help. Please correct me if it's different for you. I've pushed thru single pains all my life. A gym...

Tracing Origin of a Fibro Flare

Hi Deb: Yep, me too. Trigger hunting, I call it. In my case I can usually be or get pretty sure what the trigger is. If not immediately then I check my week or month on my blog and often find it out after. I'd think my rate is >80%. What I need for this however is the time to self-care - so...

hi Everyone "Coping with Fybro" is a new Channel I'm putting together to raise awareness.

"Take it slow, but keep it steady; Help it grow, until it’s ready, Hold the light and stretch your hands up; keep your faith, our love will stand out." This "chorus"/song part is encouraging improving attitude towards life and self-care. Fibro is making me/us "take it slow", pacing, not...

hi Everyone "Coping with Fybro" is a new Channel I'm putting together to raise awareness.

Hehe, Blackbird Song are recordings of "Gre-go-ry Gre-go-ry" for 1h on a spring morning. Someday I'll make Blackbird Grooves #3 from that. "How loud do I need to shout it out, outta my snout?" is referring to fibro-pain & understanding fibro...- so I'd love some tweezers for that...

hi Everyone "Coping with Fybro" is a new Channel I'm putting together to raise awareness.

Oh dear, this is gonna get extremely embarrassing : jayceason on soundcloud. I'm warning you: my stuff (whether original or covers) is designed to make people's ears fall off, it's complex, "new", a mix of all genres, and you very prolly won't get it or need time to. But it's mine... To not tax...

    Memory foam mattress toppers

Sorry, can't help here, @sunkacola, but I've heard good reports of memory foam toppers and pillows, but a lot of personal differences. For myself it definitely was a big difference changing my bed stuff, putting a soft topper on my hard straw mattress, and now I use 3 pillows. My fundamental...

    Pain in one leg

Hi redtulip98 - in case you come back - Adding to the good advice above: Have you praps tried working on your anxiety? Have you tried looking for triggers of your stomach problems? I'd say docs are there to make sure it's nothing they can "see" and then, yes, we are on our own, we need to...

    Challenging time

@seniorzala and @Jemima, I'm very wary of artificial intelligence, but Cologne-based "deep-L translator" beats google (and I do like google being beaten ;-)). Nagyon óvatos vagyok a mesterséges intelligenciával kapcsolatban, de a kölni "deep-L fordító" legyőzi a Google-t (és én szeretem, ha a...

Graduated Exercise Therapy and CBT removed from NICE guidelines (draft)

Hi sleepy T-Rex, I'm interested in your input, but am thoroughly confused! I still see in the new (April) version of the NICE guidelines and I still see exercise and CBT (& ACT). Or am I not reading them right? I'm also not sure if you're talking specifically about "graduated exercise therapy"...
