    Muscle Twitching

Yes, if you had ALS I think you would surely have had more als-y symptoms by now. I've been through almost EXACTLY your situation/symptoms! It's crazy how similar, all the way to the twitching fingers moving all by themselves. Ugh. I too was terrified of ALS but it was dx'd as benign...

    Muscle Twitching

Hi Deano, greetings! I've had several bouts with severe all-over muscle twitching over the past decade (well before my fibro DX, which only happened this month.) Each time I was terrified that it was ALS or MS but it never was. And eventually each time it would settle down, although it took...

When to go to a doctor

I'm sorry things are so tough for you! I would definitely go to your doctor and get the abdomen pain checked out, because a new stabbing pain in the abdomen could be completely unrelated to fibro. For example, you may have a benign cyst, a UTI, a pulled muscle, or a variety of other things...

Cymbalta experience- did it help you? I'm starting it today...

So for you, did the cymbalta help with the fibromyalgia pain? And how long did it take to help? Are you at 30 or 60 mg? Sorry for so many questions... I just have so much to learn. Thank you!

Thanks to everyone for your replies so far. I'm kind of bummed that there aren't many positive cymbalta experiences, but I appreciate your honest input so I have a reasonable idea of what to expect. Best wishes to everyone and hope we are all feeling better soon!

Hi everyone! I just got diagnosed with fibromyalgia and my rheumatologist wants me to start cymbalta because it can supposedly hel reduce fibro pain. Because I already take Lexapro, I will do a tapered approach to wean off the Lexapro and onto cymbalta. I hope like hell that it will help my...

Hi! Just got fibromyalgia dx today- stressed and sad 😥

I should add that I'm female, 50 years old, and live in Arizona. I'm significantly overweight and know it's critical to lose weight if possible. Again, any suggestions on things that help you reduce pain in joints would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Jennifer

Hi! Just got fibromyalgia dx today- stressed and sad 😥

Hello all! I've been suffering from increasing joint pain over the past six months and have been to a rheumatologist multiple times for exams, for blood work and X-rays. Today he said he thinks I have fibromyalgia, because all blood work (extensive!) didn't show any signs of RA or lupus or...
