Dar1536, I'm so glad the cymbalta is working for you! But for me it was much worse than just a little groggy. But then I am hypersensitive to just about any drug. I can take one little flexeril at 10 pm and the next day I'm out of it all day. Even though I am still experimenting with the dosage...
I just ordered a little variety of things from a dispensary here. Gonna try a few different ratios of CBD/THC, some high CBD for days of work when I don't want any psychoactive effects, and some high THC for pain relief at night. See how it goes!
Right now I just take ibuprofen and Tylenol. My doctor prescribed Cymbalta but I can't take the side effects so not taking it. I am looking into CBD/THC. I live in California and got my card yesterday. Now just trying to figure out what to start with and where to get it. I didn't realize how...
Oh Sunkacola, sorry! I didn't mean to come off as facetious. I just never thought about making a good impression on a doctor. And I have seen many new doctors over the years... rheumatologists, endocrinologists, dermatologists and other GPs besides my primary care doc. And I understand the...
I've never thought about getting all dolled up to go see my doctor. I mean, I'm clean and dressed and my hair is brushed, but I don't wear makeup and I like comfortable clothes. I've always used the exaggerate method, make everything seem worse than it is, the squeaky wheel thing. I've had the...
Thanks diamond. Read the thread and think I'm gonna try it. I live in California so I can get it legally here. Unlike some of these drugs it can't hurt! :)
Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. For me I'd rather the pain than to feel like a zombie, but everyone is different. I've started taking 5-htp 50mg. I also take vit E, magnesium, coq10 and vit B. Has anyone tried cannabis oil?
Thanks Peg! I understand that for most people it would be best to give it time, but I just don't have a week of my life to give to get used to a drug or see if the side effects go away. I can't afford to take time off of work (I'm already on reduced hours) and I'm really super sensitive to...
Ok, not taking any more of this cybalta. I feel like a zombie. I can't think, I move in slow motion, I feel totally disconnected. And it's time-released, so the feeling keeps coming and going. Luckily I have nothing to do today but I work tomorrow and I can't function like this.
Thanks Sagey, I took my first Cymbalta tonight. I decided to give it a try. Will see how it goes. I've had a pretty good week, little pain until this morning and here it is again in my shoulders and neck... whoo-hoo! LOL
Well I got the diagnosis from the rheumatologist, it's fibro. My doc wants to put me on Cymbalta but I'm kind of afraid. I don't really like to take mind altering drugs, I've been reading up on the side effects, I have a very low tolerance for drugs that make one drowsy or dizzy. I was thinking...
Thanks for the response Vicky. I finally heard from my doc, she says I probably have fibro and osteoarthritis, she has referred me to a rheumatologist, now I'm waiting to hear from them. So on to the next step I guess. The weird thing is I will have periods of less pain, and then think I'm crazy...
Hello fellow sufferers. So glad to find this forum! So, some background to start. I'm a 61 year-old woman who has suffered from pain for a long time, some for a reason (degenerated discs in my lower back and neck) and some unexplained. But it's always there, sometimes quiet, sometimes screaming...
