    Working

Hey, not sure if this is the correct place to post this... I have fibro and ME/CFS...last year I left my job (I became a very hostile environment which was making me more ill) to go back to college to study administration in the hope that I would be able to get an Office job which I thought...

    So useless

THIS. this is the worst part. He's supporting me the best he can whilst working full time and walking the dogs because I can't but I get so filled with rage over stupid things like the kitchen being a mess and it's like everything else he does just doesn't exist. I just focus on the mess and get...

    So useless

Yeah, I have depression, anxiety and borderline personality disorder 🙄 not a fun mix...I'm calmer now...just feeling numb. I think I'm going to have to get in touch with the doctors in the morning because I haven't felt this bad in a while...just crept up on me. My partner is definitely kind and...

    So useless

I feel so down tonight. Literally just sitting in my living room crying my eyes out. I'm very ill atm but the doctors are taking ages between tests to figure out whats wrong. I have no strength, no energy and my mood is really low. My partner is away overnight for work, he left the kitchen in...

    Not surrendering to fibro

Hi Muir, I can kind of relate to what you are going through. I lost my job a few months ago due to my employers pushing me out of the company because they didn't want to make simple changes so I could stay (yes I went down the grievance route which went in my favour but nothing changed so I had...

'Tis the season for... SAD syndrome

I reckon it would definitely be a healing step in the right direction! I'm also a fellow SAD sufferer (as well as year round depression) but same as Jemima, definitely gets so much worse in winter and I'm also a winter baby (maybe there's a connection here? 🧐) so I dread being unable to do...

    Swollen glands, abdominal pain

Had a very quick examination from a nurse who thinks it's mesenteric adenitis. Can't find much information, something to do with a virus making your stomach glands inflamed as well but most common in children under 16...I'm 28...she said she doesn't care about lack of appetite so long as I'm...

    Swollen glands, abdominal pain

I'm not sure if this is fibro related but I'm going to mention it anyway in the hope someone can help. Last year I had a sore throat, swollen glands and a swollen lymphnode by my right collarbone which restricted my movement. I thought it was some sort of cold so I didn't go to the doctors but...

    Laundry drying dilemmas

I use a heated clothes airer. I was very reluctant at first (can't remember why, probably the cost) but now it's a lifesaver. Never have the damp smell anymore and it sits in the room I read in so I don't need to put the heating on as much. I just get the heat from the airer :) definitely...

    Burning pain in hips

Knowing fibro, it's probably two things in one area 😅 I managed to get deep freeze patches and arnica cream. I also though arnica was just for bruises Auriel! I leave in an hour so wish me luck! And thank you for all your help!

    Burning pain in hips

I looked up calendula cream and it says it's for rough, dry and chapped skin? I will be popping up to the chemist in a little bit, I know you can get deep heat pads so I'm hoping there's such a thing as deep freeze pads. I'll have a look for both calendula and arnica cream whilst I'm there 🤞

    Burning pain in hips

Thank you. I hate cold things but I took your advice and tried ice packs for about an hour earlier and it really did help whilst I had them on so thank you very much! Weirdly couldn't even feel the cold so ill definitely be doing it again in the future.

    Burning pain in hips

Thank you, unfortunately it's not for leisure though. My partners granny died at the start of the year and his family are all in England so with covid restrictions they missed the funeral so we're taking the ashes to them for a second funeral. I know that is stressing me out because it will take...

    Burning pain in hips

Hi guys, I have a horrific burning pain in my hip/pelvic area. The skin is extremely sensitive to the point I haven't been able to get dressed today. I have had a milder version of this a couple of times before but it has usually gone in a few hours but this is a lot more extreme and has lasted...
