Opinions all vary. My PCP that I just lost because she transferred to the VA system was great - she listened, worked with me, told me about studies etc. When I mentioned trying a chiropractor she said it would be a waste of time.
I've known some people that have tried it and found it worsened...
Yes, documentation is crucial. It is also pretty much a given to be turned down the first time, or first two or three times. An experienced attorney can help you navigate through the mess.
My grandmother, who also had fibromyalgia, would get severe chest/sternum pains. Since she had a history of heart issues as well she always had to go to the ER to be checked out and find out if it was her heart or the fibromyalgia.
I agree that it sounds like costochondritis, which I think we...
I'm in Fort Worth, wish I could refer someone to you. My doctor just left to work for the VA so I can't follow her. My new PCP is not that impressive at the moment, and he just sees employees of the hospital I work for.
Agreed, Sometimes I feel like I'm not being a "good mom" because Netflix or a game on my phone is the most entertainment I can give her for the day when the pain is so bad I feel like I can't breath.
I'm sorry your dealing with the loss of a relationship. However it sounds like the relationship was unhealthy and highly stressful/demoralizing. In time it could be that getting out of it will be better for your health - both mental and physical.
After another bout with kidney stones and some elevated parathyroid levels my doctor ordered a bone density scan (Dexa scan). I had my bone density scan Wednesday and they were already contacting me Thursday morning to tell me the results were abnormal - it indicated osteopenia, not quite...
Ugh, YES. Then when someone tells me "I hope you feel better soon" etc I feel like a jerk if I'm like well - there is no cure so it might be awhile.
Or if they tell me they are sorry I have deal with this or I'm too young to have this much pain - well I've had it since I was a kid so it is...
Man this happened to me one time when I was making stuffed peppers and didn't use gloves - it was soooo awful. I used vinegar but they still bothered me for days after.
I am on 600mg 3 x daily - I often only remember to take it twice a day though so might be upping it soon where I can just have two doses. I think the max dosage for efficacy is 3600mg/day so you are not taking too much.
For me gabapentin has worked better than Lyrica and with less side...
I have had trouble finding a medicine that doesn't make it super hard for me to wake up - having a young child I want to be able to wake up quickly and easily if needed.
Amitriptylin worked really well for me for a little while - but then I started noticing that my OCD symptoms were returning...
I always have pain in various places, but it definitely moves around its focus. Hands/arms to legs/feet to lower back to upper back to shoulders to neck to shins to hips etc.
I also always have the tender points - touching me even lightly in certain spots feels like you are poking me in a...
I have had eye twitching, and also have dry eyes. I have also had shooting neck pain, but it usually runs like from my shoulder blade or clavicle up my neck - like you would have when you have a crick in your neck.
I have a 4 y.o. daughter and my symptoms definitely were relieved while I was...
Definitely, though I have had anxiety issues separate from my fibro as well. I also used to drink, a lot - but that was before I had a kid. Now I only have a beer or two on the rare weekend. I take Buspar to help with my anxiety.
