Do you feel like you have a cold, sore throat, slight fever with fibromyalgia?

Flu like symptoms can certainly come with FMS. I have had a lot of friends say that these symptoms are a part of their FMS. I think they can also come with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Is it easier now to be diagnosed

I think it is still pretty difficult. But overall I think there is more awareness of Fibromyalgia. I think in that sense it can take a little less time to be diagnosed.

    Bad Neighbors=Bad Stress!

Your neighbor does not sound very kind. I am so sorry you have to deal with this. IT is hard enough being ill without having added stress that is not necessary.

    fibro diagnosis-looking for advice

Hi, I am around your age and am the mother of two children as well. I try not to worry too much about people who do not understand my illnesses. We do not need to stress ourselves out over that. I try to plan ahead and be as organized as possible with meals, trips to the store and so forth...

    This stupid HEAT

I am lucky in that I do not live in a "hot state" persay. However, we do get bouts of some hot and humid weather. The humidity part is what really gets me. It makes my pain the worst and I feel just awful. I cannot imagine living in a hot state.

I have found out I have an auto immune disorder in addition to my FMS so there could be overlapping symptoms and such. But my symptoms that led to my FMS diagnosis including widespread pain, tender points and extreme fatigue. I also had a lot of headaches, bouts of tingling or numbness and a...

How do you not overdo it when you feel better?

This is actually an issue with me. If I get a burst of feeling a bit better, I feel the need to get a lot done. But then I am back to not feeling well very quickly as a result.

    Pain With Walking

Walking does cause me pain. Most of my pain is in my knees. I sometimes have bad calf pain as well. But I still try to walk as it is the only form of physical activity I can really do at all.

    Anyone have vision problems?

I have vision problems. I am not sure what is causing it yet though. I think it is related to my auto immune disorder. Of course, I guess it could be fibro too.

    Canes, wheelchairs, walkers, oh my!

I may have to use a mobility device soon. But it is not for my Fibro actually. It would be more related to my auto immune disorder.

    Headaches and Storms

Many of my symptoms are worse during storms. Yes, I believe it has to do with the pressure. I suffer severe migraines as well. And I can always be guaranteed a bad one when there is a storm. This happens with snow storms for me too, not just spring/summer rain or thunder storms.

    Exercise

I do some walking for exercise. It is not easy but I do it even though I do not walk fast and I do not walk inclines and such very often. I also use a big exercise ball and do as much as I can on that.

    Can this go away?

Can Fibro go away eventually? I have read that sometimes this only lasts for a few years. I am not sure how it would go away. I am sure I have heard of people having this for years and years. I am just wondering.

    vision problems

Can vision problems be part of Fibro? I did not use to have vision problems but now I am. It is getting pretty bad. The eye doctor is having me go for some more tests in a couple weeks and we will take it from there.

    scared to tell my Doctor

Where I live, they can take your license away medically for a time for certain conditions. It is often if someone has seizures. But it can also be if they have episodes of going unconscious. I do think you need to be honest with your doctor so that he or she can help you to try to get feeling...
