I applied in May 2013...just started receiving in May 2015...two years! Yes have to have a lawyer and rheumatologist.
I was denied 2xs but the lawyer just forged ahead
So it takes a long time but if you really are unable to work which is my case because I have fibro and GAD then don't give up...
Just came off Zoloft. was on it for 15 years..was not given it for fibro but for anxiety
Can tell you that it stopped working on the anxiety and I can not say it ever gave me pain relief. Also I ballooned up 50+ lbs while on it
I do not think SSRI's are any good for this
I have to say that mine has come and gone in some severity through out the years. I am now 56 and was working as an LPN also but I contracted two stomach infections that sent my anxiety spiraling out of control and also sent my fibro into over drive. I have not been able to work since Dec 2012...
I was given Gabapentin 100mgs once at night to start. can increase to 300mgs once a night.
My Psych NP is hoping it will help me not only with pain/sleep but with anxiety too.
I take lorazepam for the anxiety 1.25mgs a day separated in 3 doses.
I am wondering what if any effect this drug will...
Another YES to the bunch. I power walk 3 miles 4xs a week and it has NEVER made me feel better. I do it more for my anxiety and epression.
My body hurts and I just keep moving it no matter what...
hey we are practically neighbors hangininthere...Rochester, NY= Liverpool, NY (suburb of Syracuse)
I find if I stub my toe or bang my knee into a table...etc....the pain feels 100xs worse then it should. I just banged my knee into a door and I literally screamed out and cried the pain was SOOOOO bad.
I feel as if I am a danger to myself.
I was just awarded disability and its a hard fact to...
I am such a mess lately and I can not figure what is fibro and what may be another underlying cause.
my pain today is unrelenting. I call it the "coat hangar" pain along with my head feeling weird and hurting. All I want to do is cry.
sorry I just had to vent.
I guess I need to make another...
I get most of my pain in neck, shoulder blades, base of skull...real tender there.
So of course I get horrendous headaches too.
was wondering if anyone else does and what do you do for it.
well on a good day I can get out of the house. That happens about once a week. I have been denied disability once and now I am having a 2nd hearing in front of judge with a vocational expert to voice his opinion. Judge wants to deny me but she needs more credible opinions on my limitations.
UGH...
