    Turmeric for inflammation?

Personally I take one in the morning and one at night. The research I did suggested that 1000mg of pure curcumin per day is effective and safe. However much of it can be just flushed through the system without BioPerine, black prpper extrsct, which binds it for better absorption. Perhaps you can...

    Feel ignored

Two thoughts here....I don't think TomT was too far off base in his designating people as having positive or negative influences on others...everyone has yucky days, but generally, over the course of their lives, there are people who are toxic. I've lived long enough to meet some of them...

    Turmeric for inflammation?

Good morning! Personally I despise the taste of tumeric, so this is very convenient for me personally. I can't imagine taking in 1000mg of tumeric a day! My supplement contains 100% natural tumeric with 5mg of bioperine, no fillers, flavourings, or colourings added, made in the US. Sometimes...

    Feel ignored

Isn't it so sad that fibro doesn't give us purple and pink polka-dots? That there's no sign of how just awfully terrible we can feel so often? No scars? In all seriousness, I also don't complain or talk about my fibro. My dear Husband, thank goodness, has always been supportive, as is our...

    Turmeric for inflammation?

To increase the effectiveness of Tumeric, it must also contain Bioprene, or black pepper extract. I purchase mine on Amazon, a "Fettle" company product in capsule form and have had amazing results for my hips' bursitis.

Video: How To Explain Fibromyalgia To Family & Friends

Ah, yes, but then you'd have the problem of teaching your dog how to blow the whistle.....and who would know if it was doing it right? ;-)

Video: How To Explain Fibromyalgia To Family & Friends

Oh, goodness, sqeaky toys...if squeaking them didn't make our Doxie over-the-moon joyful (and consequently, me!) I could never put up with those things. But her joy is my joy, so I put up with it now and then. :p I played this video for my Husband and it opened his eyes even more about what my...

    Tinnitus

Oh good heavens!! Now my tinnitus might be connected to my fibro? Sheesh!! Like Peaceandquiet, I can tune it out, and/or think of it as "my little friend"...I know, stupid, right? :/ But sometimes it's so loud I can swear others should be able to hear it...hahaha...yes, nothing to laugh about...

just some quick thoughts from my daily journal

Hello from another Ontarian! There's a phrase I love to keep in mind: Just because you're IN pain, doesn't mean you have to BE a pain. It just reminds me that for the most part, my DH knows I'm fatigued, in pain with a new knee (and a lovely baker's cyst behind it), arthritis, bursitis in both...

I suddenly feel so old...hello, everyone, new 'club' member here.

Yep, Dkenny, let's just "shake it off", right? Exercise is the cure-all for everything that ails us! I wish that those gym-rats could walk in our shoes for a week. THEN we can tell them to do yoga and wrap their legs around their heads or jog briskly around a track! Hah! They couldn't HANDLE...

I suddenly feel so old...hello, everyone, new 'club' member here.

Oh, boy, Peaceandquiet, you hit a nerve (heh) with me when you used the word "expectations". I'm also a Grandma, to a wonderful 9-yr old boy, and I couldn't ask for a sweeter Daughter and Son-in-Law. However! It's begun to dawn on me that they don't realize that not only am I getting older each...

I suddenly feel so old...hello, everyone, new 'club' member here.

Thank you, Sagey.....you're so right about some days we feel so much more vulnerable than on other days, that one day we might whine (and I can do that beautifully...hahaha), other days we just try to power through. Today was a "find a spot to curl up in" with our Doxie, who seems to know when...

I suddenly feel so old...hello, everyone, new 'club' member here.

Hello, everyone!! Well, so here I am. After going through all the stages of "grief", I'm finally at the acceptance stage: I have fibro, and ignoring it for several years hasn't worked to dispel it. Long story short: our doctor diagnosed me several years ago, but I've always "carried on" like I...
