    Fibromyalgia doctor advice?

I see a Rheumatologist for my FM and have been seeing her since 2019. She was the one who diagnosed the FM and has been great... up until a few months ago. I've found that this summer has been especially hard on my FM and I only see my Rheumatologist every 5-6 months. That being said, I have...

    Fibromyalgia and Psychological Disorders

Of course! I hope you find relief in treatment and self care. I’ve also learned over time that coping mechanisms are Soooooo important with mental health. Finding good hobbies and exercise are always helpful too! 😊

    Fibromyalgia and Psychological Disorders

In my opinion if you feel you're struggling mentally you should definitely seek help/options for treatment. I struggle with depression and anxiety, both of which came on long before the FM did. They definitely work against each other and make the FM feel more intense at times. I've struggled...

    Cymbalta

I’ve used natural aloe vera juice for upset stomachs before. My mom drinks aloe Vera juice for bad stomach all the time. We only drink George’s, and it’s a completely clear liquid that honestly just tastes like water to me. I’ve had the best luck finding it at places like The Vitamin Shoppe...

    Cymbalta

I am also on Cymbalta, I’ve been on it for probably around year now. I have FM but I also struggle greatly with depression and anxiety as well. The Cymbalta has been GREAT for me. I know everyone’s experience is different, but in my case it has helped a lot. It not only helped me manage the...

Feeling hot or cold with FM

It's so crazy how different FM is for everyone! Too much heat literally brings me to the point of passing out sometimes.. Give me the cold wet rainy/windy days anytime! Maybe even add in some snow :)

    Fatigue

I agree with you SO much! It's hard to get past the frustration sometimes but each day is different and there are accomplishments in every day, no matter how small!

    Fatigue

Hi! I wanted to touch on some of the things that you both had talked about in your posts. I found them very interesting to read and can understand where you're coming from. Before I was diagnosed with FM I had gotten into Yoga and was very in shape. My situation may be a bit different, but I...

Feeling hot or cold with FM

Me too!! I find my head gets especially over heated, especially fast. There are times if I let myself get too hot it's super hard to cool back down. There's times in the summer that I spend maybe just a couple of hours outside (if even that long), sometimes in shaded, cooler areas, and still...

Feeling hot or cold with FM

That's a great idea! I'll look into that type of shirt. I had night sweats last night that started around 3am and lasted until I got up around 9. It's so gross, I have to change multiple times throughout the night and it's exhausting! The wicking shirts/sheets i'd never heard of specifically...

Feeling hot or cold with FM

My husband and I have 3 floors to our house (basement, main level and upper level) and our washer and dryer are in our basement. Sometimes I find that going up both flights of stairs if I'm doing laundry makes me start to sweat. Not always, but there are days where it's hard to make it up both...

    Bruising and dry scalp..??

I've only been diagnosed since Feb of 2019, so it's still a huge learning process for me.. but things that I always thought were just normal or me and my body just being a little weird.. (lol) seem to be things that can be related to the Fibro.
