Dusty - what do you mean by "upper part" of your pain? He could be wrong. But he could be right: Aren't his explanations any good?

My pain now has gone to my arms, rib cage, neck. However worse are my legs knees and feet. I have also experienced 'the foggy' brain and I hate that. That doctor was the second one I have been to. The first Primary doctor did believe me finally, and gave me a prescription of Duloxetine Dr 30 mg. I have been afraid to start on that medicine.

I very much understand that. Amitriptyline is similar, and it only helped a bit with sleep, I'm glad I'm off it again. It increased numbness and fogginess. But what could you do about your pains?: Osteopathy, gentlest exercises, heat, cold... :)

If I could move at all I have checked on some exercises. However, I need something for pain to enable me to move to do these. I eat healthy and did move to a very cold climate. I was healthy living in the South.

Foggy brain and don't take medications now.

Change the doc? Keep exercises short & gentle? Gentle osteopathy first?
Cryotherapy / cold washing stops my Ache a while and helps tolerate the cold better. Warmth/heat therapy (pads etc.) help me too.
Or if none of these you may have to try the Duloxetine for a certain time. As a life-belt. Until the adverse effects are too high. You could split the 30mg up first...
