    prayers please

When I got sick with fibro and was diagnosed, I was scared about all the future implications. Fibro had messed up all the plans I had made for "my future" and I was worried about how fibro had "changed everything". One thing that helped me was to remember that my getting fibro wasn't a surprise...

is it hard to keep working

There are so many variables, and no one should compare their story to another's. Fibro/cfs affects each of us differently and limits us each to varying degrees. Some jobs are easier to manage with fibro than others (e.g., quiet desk job vs. construction worker). I am fortunate. While my...

Sensation you have jammed your finger?

Me too. I have so much pain wiping after a bm that sometimes I don't get it all (sorry for tmi). It also hurts to brush my hair. any activity really that my fingers have to push or pull for.

    Twitching, Cramping, ALL OVER

If there's a muscle, I've had a cramp in it. At the end of the day, my legs can cramp so bad that even putting my full weight into a stretch isn't enough to release the spasm. Often the muscles in my feet cramp to the point that my toes cross over each other, and some bend back and others...

    Tender skin

It's called "allodynia" and is a common symptom of fibro. For me, it doesn't hurt to be touched hard (like a deep massage), but especially on my flare days, even the touch of my clothes can be a searing pain. I always tell my friends to hug me hard, not soft.

    sight problems?

I've noticed blurriness, dryness, and much more rapid eye strain. Eyes are focused using eye muscles, and since fibro affects all my other muscles, I'm guessing that eye strain is a fibro symptom for me.

    Fatigue

Yes, what Loftpat said. Even when we do everything right with regard to sleep hygiene, the fatigue is still there.

I just got Gabapentin- Any feedback would be great

Yes, trial and error. If it works, use it. If not, move on. For me, gabapentin is a total lifesaver. It is the only thing that blocks my incapacitating headaches. On it, my head feels fine. If I'm late for a dose or miss one, the skull crushing pain rages back. I haven't had any side effects...

    feel better at night?

I think it's a circadian rhythm shift. I'm the same way (though I don't perk up till 9:00 p.m.) I've been a night owl all my life, it's just more noticeable now with the fibro/cfs because I have my usual daytime torpor plus the fibro fog and fatigue.

    Dead weight

Makes total sense. For me it's like my body feels so heavy it's collapsing under its own weight, but it can't collapse because that would take energy it doesn't have. Or even that it's hard to breathe because moving one's ribs and diaphragm just take way too much effort and muscle, especially...
