    Baking Soda

Was considering posting this in 'Fibro Fog' but I think it might be better suited here. Often after using a baking soda mouthwash, or simply placing some baking soda directly on my tongue, my fibro fog reduces significantly and immediately. There is something about the tongue and health that...

Chronic fatigue and low body temperature

When I have been in a very warm bath for 15-30 minutes, my fatigue almost disappears. Biologically I can imagine the only difference is raised body temperature. What is it that is causing our body temperature to drop to such a level as to directly induce fatigue. Or is there some other reason...

Does eating late affect your fatigue?

I find that the only way to stave off night fatigue is by eating. Generally not just light snacks but full meals. However when I eat no later than 7pm, and Don't eat until 9am the next morning, I find my fatigue in the morning is significantly less.

We all know how our tongues can sometimes get white, and many will notice that it gets much worse during periods of illness. I find that my tongue whiteness is perfectly correlated to how bad my symptoms are at any given moment. The only time my symptoms are non-existent (after an afternoon...

Is it considered healthy for a 23 year old to need a daily nap?

I almost cannot function without an afternoon nap, around 2pm, but potentially as late as 4pm. I know many people have taken afternoon naps, and it's even more prominent in some Mediterranean cultures. But in the UK it's virtually unheard of for someone in their 20's to require a daily mid...

    Nicotine and fibromyalgia

I have to say smoking has really helped alleviate some symptoms. I don't want to be responsible for people making bad decisions here, but personally the brain fog went instantly, and that's just from the occasional cigar. Nicotine gum too has had a similar effect, and nicotine is a known...

    Weirdest thing with Candida

I know this isn't specifically related to Fibro/CFS. But many sufferers also have Candida issue so this will be of interest to many. One very strange thing that I've noticed is that after taking a mid-afternoon nap the candida overgrowth on my tongue has almost completely vanished. In addition...

Get better sleep if I go to bed later

Sometimes I start to feel mentally tired at around 11pm and sometimes go to bed then. However I never really feel physically tired until around 2am. If I go to bed then I will fall to sleep much easier and wake up feeling more refreshed. Does anyone thing it might actually be better to go to...

    Headache and fatigue

I find that my level of fatigue is closely correlated with headache intensity. When I had terrible fatigue I usually have a headache to go with it. Where as when my fatigue is only mild I never get a headache. Does anyone else notice a similar connection?

    What food makes you worse?

I'm sure we all have a list of foods that make our symptoms worse. It would be interesting to see how much crossover there is. Some bread, but not all. Multivitamins Sugar when added to things, but cakes are usually fine.
