    Willow

I've been off the forum for a few months (demanding time at work), but I just tuned back in and saw this post - I hope she is OK too

    Avoiding Gluten

I tried eliminating gluten, but did not see an improvement. I also saw no change when I added it back in. Eating a high fiber diet does help with my IBS symptoms, though. I've also found that when i eat sushi I feel better for about 3 hours. In general I think eating lots of fruits and...

    Beds and pillows

We got a memory foam mattress. Memory foam is not for everyone, but i like it. It is warmer because it acts as an insulator. For me it is the right combo of soft surface and firm core. As far as pillows go, I either use no pillow or a very thin, soft pillow or my neck hurts terribly.

Activity and exercise levels when very young

I don't think fibro affected me as a child. When I was a kid, I used to run as hard as I could just for the pleasure of it. I remember when I was about 10, my parents were doing some construction on our house and there was a lot of debris around. I noticed something stuck to my foot. When I...

I have a few close relationships where I am completely open. There are some relationships where people know...

Headaches, IBS and horrible muscle aches and pains

David has good advice. Even if you can't do much, do what you can to keep moving. It will help in the long run. I walk, swim, and use a stationary bike for my exercise. If I spend too long in bed, I get a lot of muscle pain. I've found using a thera-cane (or something similar) to massage...

Sushi or fish good for Fibromyalgia?

I'm sad to hear they are so far away from you. We just got one in the town where I live, and there are two in the town where I work (at least, two that I know of). Work has been extra-demanding and stressful lately (in a good way, meaning there is lots of interesting work to do, but it must be...

    Mornings suck

I am so impressed you usually get up at 6 everyday to see your daughter to school! I have bad mornings too. It takes me an hour or two before I am very functional. But if I'm having a flare or I'm over tired, it takes a lot longer (sometimes most of the day). It helps me keep moving if I have...
