28 and feeling a little hopeless...

A new kitten!! I'm so jealous! My mom seems to want another cat-- and of course I do as well but right now, I can hardly afford to feed my one cat, so it's best to just keep her as a single cat-child for now. One day I will have many more! About the meds; yes, I have tried many many many...

28 and feeling a little hopeless...

Oh, yes-- I was first diagnosed with PTSD at 5 years old-- then again at 16 and again at 20... haha I have found that therapy had left me more upset and not really helped me at all... but I would like to try again, soon. (I've attempted cbt and emdr 5 times in total over the years) The problem...

28 and feeling a little hopeless...

Hi, there! I'm a little relieved to hear I'm not the only one who feels how I do-- but then... how could I be? Fibro seems to be such an all-encompassing illness that I can't possibly be the only one who feels helpless. Who feels like a loser. Over the last 10 years, I've been on over 23...

    Hello!

Hi, Nicole! I was just diagnosed last week and am 28. I just had to grin a bit at your table topping and LARPing--- I don't do much, myself; but I always wished I had money for cosplaying and most of the people I know from school were into Magic the gathering, WoW, DnD at least. Anyways...

How to tell a toddler about fibro

Hi, guys! My only niece is turning 4 soon and starting school. I usually see her for her birthday-- brave the city and drive down to visit with her. I was the nanny for the first 2 years of her life and even though she doesn't recognize other family members, she always recognizes me and comes...

    Thyroid and Fibromyalgia

I have been tested on a monthly basis, as my symptoms would present like I have a thyroid problem but there's no evidence that it is thyroid. I'm gluten, sugar and low carb, gmo free, no meat or dairy diet for over a year, now and only gaining weight and staying about as sick as always. It's...

    Injured during Tendor Point test?

I had my test done exactly a week ago and I'm still feeling the pain. I wasn't expecting it to be so painful and just to show me how it should feel for someone without fibro; he did the same test on my mom and SHE said it was uncomfortable but not painful. Every point shot pain through my body...

Is it considered healthy for a 23 year old to need a daily nap?

If you feel rested after napping then I don't see why not. My mom said that we all need sleep and if your body wants to sleep; you should let it-- unless you oversleep and never feel rested. If it's doing good for your body; it's not bad at all. I'm 28 and just sleep whenever I can manage to...

I had my first fibro-attributed clumsiness this morning....

Oh, man! I've had so much clumsiness like this over the last few years and such bad luck that it almost always happens in stores-- in public-- and everyone stares. It's not a nice feeling at all... but it happens. It even happens-- in perhaps slightly lesser degrees-- to people without fibro...

How old were you when you were diagnosed?

I'm 28 and was just diagnosed-- but may have had fibro since my late teens. The intense pain just started recently and that is why I was diagnosed. I've had all of the other symptoms since about 16, though.
