    Perspective

Hi Elsie I’m just seeing this post and just wanted to say you’re definitely not alone. I’m struggling big time just now, my mood is really low and I feel so alone with this horrible illness. I’m trying so hard to be positive but failing miserably at the moment. Sorry I wasn’t trying to make...

    Fibro affecting my marriage

It’s devastating when you get your formal diagnosis but a relief at the same time when you know there’s actually a reason for the hell you’re going through and it’s not in your head like you’ve started to believe. Sorry your husband is being like that just now, I hope you both turn a corner...

    CBD oil

With CBD oil you start on a light dose & build it up slowly until you reach the optimum dose for you. You can also buy CBD gummies if you find you can’t take the oil, they’re just like jelly sweets but cost more than the oil or you can make your own which is quite easy to do. When I first...

    Fireworks

Does anyone else have sensitivity to the loud noise and bright lights from fireworks? My daughter was performing yesterday at a fairly big festival with the band she’s in at school and we were all given the opportunity to stay on for the fireworks display after. I was really reluctant because...

    feeling hopeless

Sorry you’re feeling hopeless, it’s a fairly regular occurrence with fibro ☹️ It messes with your emotions every day and you never know how you’re going to be feeling from one minute to the next. I’ve been up and down so many times I’ve lost count so you are definitely not alone. I had to trail...

    CBD oil

The trick with CBD is to start on a low dose & build it up slowly. I’m not sure what 5mls would be, normally the bottle comes with a dropper or a spray and you start with one drop/spray three times a day and increase it by one drop each week up to a maximum of 5 drops 3 times a day. If no...

    pre-arthritic at 26

Hiya I’m in a similar position to you. I’ve just turned 40 & have osteoarthritis in most of my joints, the worst pain being in my knees & feet usually. I can’t kneel or crouch, getting in & out of the bath is a nightmare! I attended an osteoarthritis knee physio class at the start of the year &...

Do you work? What do you do?

Cleaning will be really hard work, I can imagine how you’re struggling with it a bit. My job does involve lifting heavy case notes and prolonged periods of sitting however I try to alternate what I’m doing when I can & try to move about a bit during the day to stop my joints from stiffening up.

    Fibro affecting my marriage

I think every one of us on here could say that our partners have struggled to cope with our fibro. It’s so difficult for them to understand & really frustrating a lot of the time. My husband struggled for a long time to the point that we almost separated after 22 years together & being married...
