Hi, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few ago, this last 9 or so months i have been really struggling with some of the symptoms and just wondered if anyone else suffers with some or all of these symptoms.
I get really bad sweats through the day and at night, but sometimes feel chilly at the same time
I constantly feel like i am coming down with something, then i have a better day then i feel rubbish again.
Am finding this really draining and my doctor basically says there is not a lot they can do and just live with it, i guess i am concerned that there is something else going on but everything is getting blamed on Fibromyalgia or the Menopause.
Hope everyone is staying safe and well x

Debee, it sounds more like menopause to me, rather than fibro. I have known several women who have gone through this during menopause. It's normal, especially the sweats and feeling chilly at the same time. That's very common, and will ease up in time. Pretty annoying to go through it, though! You have my sympathy.

Thank you Sunkacola, I have a horrible feeling you may be right!

Hey....if it is menopause instead of being part of your fibromyalgia, throw a party to celebrate! Menopause only lasts for a few years, fibromyalgia lasts the rest of your life in most cases. And, if your menopause symptoms are too terrible or go on for too long there are solutions, medications and hormone replacements which work for the vast majority of women. So, in my opinion, it's not "horrible " at all! At least this part of your annoying symptoms will have an end to them, if they are caused by menopause. :) Wishing you the best of luck!

Hi Debee, I also went through the same symptoms that you described, feeling like I was coming down with the flu or something, that sucks and kind of scary. Even running a fever. And from what I’ve learned, sweating and night chills/sweats are common along with autoimmune issues which I believe one day fibro will be classified as. I’m 2 years officially diagnosed after seeing every specialist I think exists (at least it seems like it) but have been dealing with symptoms for over 12 years. I’m already through menopause but still have flushing, sweating, & chills together and separately that I blame on fibro and/or meds. Keep researching & looking for answers/doctors, I’m on my third rheumatologist in 3 years...we’ll see. I do like him so far. His first question was, “do I believe fibromyalgia is real“. I said I didn’t but I sure as hell do now! Love to you and everybody!
