Just starting to dive deeper into my Fibromyalgia diagnosis.
First doctor just did a blood test looking for inflammation markers.
My C Reactive Protein is excessively high. What should I expect next?

Hi there - a high CRP means that you definitely have something additional to fibro or even instead of it, and that you're in for a lot of further testing, or should be, I'm sorry to say... praps the most obvious thing being something rheumatic, the "easiest" a severe "normal" inflammation (which you'd probly know of tho)... Hold on there, and good luck!

Wow. Thank you. I really have no idea. From your response... I’m assuming that a high CRP is not shown or a cause shown in people with Fibromyalgia?

Exactly, if you have something with a high CRP, you for every doc have "something real" ;-) (irony). I just got a very disappointed face from my first rheum. after he didn't find an elevated CRP, the first thing everyone was looking for, and then the further exams showed no ankylosis spondylitis - so he sort of gave me up and sent me on to get muscles, nerves and hormones checked... Luckily my 2nd rheum. didn't have blinkers on...
