Hi everyone,
I just joined this forum for my mom whom I believe she's suffering from fibromyalgia. I live in the States myself but she is back in Africa. No doctor there has been able to diagnose her with fibro and so I'm considering bringing her in the States to get checked. Anyways, I've done a few research online and the findings were not encouraging. My mom is 52 years old, she has glaucoma and hypertension in addition to this illness.
The medications suggested for fibro have a lot of strong side effects and I'm not sure if she would survive them. I would like to know how the medications are working for you guys because to me it seemed that they may help with pain but then cause other trouble that make you worse than before.
What have been your experiences?
