The past 11 days have been awful.

I have trouble falling asleep so I've been taking melatonin pills. I keep waking up at night because I'm uncomfortable and achy and I wake up to feel like I've been beat up or hit by a car. It's extremely difficult to get out of bed and I've been crying every morning because of the frustration.

I've been going to work because I have to and all day I am achy. My joints and my muscles ache, while the location and severity changes throughout the day.

My head feels foggy and I feel like I'm constantly tipsy. I feel slow in thinking and memory has been terrible. My interactions with coworkers is a complete fail. I feel like I'm drunk talking and can't put sentences professionally. I have headaches and migraines daily or every other day. I've also been having stomach issues: bloating, pain, gas.

I have muscle weakness and at times even a mug feels too heavy to hold or stapling papers is painful.

I've went to the doctor, got a couple tests and she ruled out, virus, mono, lyme disease, pregnancy, bacterial, anemia, and heart problems. I don't know what it is but my search has lead me here.

I am so desperate to find out what it is. Does anyone know if this is fibromyalgia? or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? I am already dealing with dust allergy symptoms at work but these other unrelated symptoms are making it even harder to work.
And my current health issues has brought back my depression.

I feel like a zombie and if things don't change soon. I will be jobless with 80k of student loans.

As you keep waking up at night you are not
Getting the healing sleep. Over time, this wil
Cause you the fatigue. The rest of your symptoms
Sound like fibro to me.(not a doctor). I too wake up
Screaming from the pains I have almost every morning.
Call you hospital n ask for a pain mgt referral.
Firbo is nerves, this is true. The muscles are what
Send the pain message thru the nervous system
To the brain. The brain then sends the pain message
Back through the nervous system to the muscle
And then you get the pain. Most fibro meds are
Blockers. They block the signals to the brain.
The meds can't pick and chose which ones to block
And which ones to send on to the brain.
Do research, ask questions, learn and apply
What you have learned. Make your decisions
Based on what you know not what you or your
Doctor is guessing about. You can make it.
Get help you need for their depression. Stay on
A set sleep schedule. Take your meds as directed
Or you will get withdrawal.
I hope you and others have learned some
Things here. Stay well!

I can relate to your feelings of frustration. Just to give you a broader viewpoint of what fibro is...Ive added some info

Research from the Fibromyalgia Research Foundation reveals deficient thyroid hormone regulation (DTHR) as an underlying cause of Fibromyalgia (FM). Poor diet, poor physical fitness and metabolism slowing drugs are primary contributors to symptoms as do additional hormonal imbalances of cortisol, estrogen and progesterone.
or
Another study, by Dr. John Lowe, Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management and Director of Research at the Fibromyalgia Research Foundation in the UK claims “indisputable proof” that the primary cause of fibromyalgia (FM) are with the pituitary gland or the hypothalamus.
or
A team led by
Dr. Frank Rice, a neuroscientist and president of Intidyn, as well as pain specialist Dr. Charles Argoff, a neurologist at Albany Medical Center in New York, found an enormous increase in the number of sensory nerve fibers within the blood vessels of the skin on the palms of fibromyalgia patients' hands.

Alot of roads lead to fibro it seems.

Every morning is tough for me. Most days. The frustration had consumed me to my very soul. Slowly I have learned to be gentle with myself & kind. I no longer curse at my body ( i did alot of that).

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have a few suggestions to try. first try to find a mattress pad that lays on top of your regular mattress. I am not talking about a regular mattress pad, but one that is 2-4 inches thick. They come in all bed sizes and can be filled with cotton fiber or geese feathers, or made of foam. The extra cushioning with help your aching muscles. If you can not find one take a thick comforter and fold it in have and then cover it with your fitted sheet for some extra softness. Another thing is with fibro having heavy blankets on top of you can cause you to hurt more in the morning. They can made you feel like you got run over or had a load of rocks on top of you. Use your sheets and a lightweight blanket and then your comforter for added warmth.
Sometimes throwing your blanket in the dryer for a bit then covering up with it can warm your body and help you relax.
I have a cotton-fiber bed pad with a 2 inch thick foam pad under it to improve my sleeping and keeps me from hurting all night. You can find them in most department stores, as well as, on line. Do a web search for them and I hope you feel better soon. :)
