I think you raise a good point and appreciate the feedback.
I'm going to disable this ability and leave the "discussions" as "discussion" only moving forward. Versus what's currently the option to start a thread as a "Discussion" or "Question", with Question having the voting options attached to it.

As said I think this is a misunderstanding of a good intention, but as it gives rise to misunderstanding and isn't being used, I don't see a reason to keep the poll/question/voting option. It'd only be worth it for a real poll with 10s or 100s of people voting/giving feedback on a specific question, a desperately hopeful venture .

Yeah, true. It's all been removed from most of the available forums. It just adds confusion, and like you said, not very practical.
