My Diagnosis of Fibromyalgia took a while, i was very stressed in my job and I took some antibiotics for a bladder infection in Mexico called Nalixone (we don’t know if this is linked) but I ended up in hospital for weeks after, laparoscopy endoscopy etc etc and eventually referred to a pain specialist who gave me Pregabalin and Amtryptilin (couldn’t sleep with out it) won’t sleep at all panic attacks whilst falling asleep. I’m also now taking Sertraline as was so depressed about this whole nightmare journey. If anyone has any tips or story’s they would like to share I’m here!

Doubt that the antibiotic is linked to what is going on with you, unless you had a bad reaction to it which is possible.

Do not ever let anyone give you Clindamycin, though. That can kill you. Trust me, I know.

The medication you are on could be causing the panic attacks and the insomnia. Read up on it, on everything you are taking. Knowledge is power and it is up to each of us to be fully informed about what we are taking and how it affects us. My best advice: don't just trust the doctors. Do your own research, do your own reading and get as informed as you can.

As for the depression, I can't tell you how fully I understand that! What I have found is the very best medicine for that is to force myself to go outside and do some kind of physical activity. It's very hard to do this when you are in pain and depressed. People have NO idea how hard that is! It is an act of courage to do it, but it is the best thing you can do for yourself. Staying active physically is key to managing Fibro.

If the depression lingers on for too long, try asking for a scrip for an anti-depressant. But again, be careful. Read up on them and decide ahead of time which one you want to try, don't just let the doctor give you something.

GOOD LUCK!
