Hi Everyone,

So.. I went on the coil a couple of months ago and when I was on this conception I noticed muscle aches, pain in joints, lower back pain etc. After a couple of weeks it seem to improve. I recently changed my conception and then went on the pill and BAM the pains have came back but worst.

I had my bloods taken a couple of weeks ago and everything came back just fine and my doctor said I could be suffering from Fibromyalgia? Is anyone experiencing this or had a similar problem with hormones?

I don't know what the coil is? Do you mean contraception? I haven't been on anything like that is over 20-25 years but I was intolerant of the added hormones and stopped taking them once I thought they were contributing to my issues. I would go off the pill and see if that fixes things before accepting the diagnosis. Just use condoms!

Hi there, the coil is a conception. It may just be strange timing but I am literally experiencing lower back pain, pains in my arms, ankles, legs, back of knees, upper back! I can’t sleep as I am also up worrying as to what it could be. I don’t really know what other tests that can be done to rule out any other conditions other than bloods?

Stop taking the pill. That has stuff in it that really isn't healthy for anyone, although most women don't experience bad side effects.
There are non-medical contraception methods.

Second, if your symptoms don't fall away when you stop taking the pill (and it might take up to a month for all of that drug to leave your system) then do and get tested. There are many different tests that are made, not just blood tests, and there are evaluations made, to rule out all of the other things besides fibromyalgia that could be causing your problems, MS, various kinds of arthritis, and several different neurological diseases. Get referrals to the specialists that test for these things and find out what is going on. Don't just assume you have fibro because one doctor says you "could" have it Sure, you could. But you could have any number of other things too and you need to know before going forward.
