First specialist, need advice!

Hi Everyone,

I was diagnosed with Fibro a little over 2 years ago when I was 22. Since then, I have tried multiple different medications as well as mixes of meds, physical therapy and movement, but I haven't been able to find something that works all the time. In October of last year, I had asked my doctor for a referral to a pain specialist, which he did eventually give me (after a year of "trying to make me better first" before handing me off).

With that being said, my appointment is quickly approaching, and I have no idea what to expect. Can anyone give me some advice on what to expect/what the general process is? What could the outcomes be? I know that for a first appointment, I probably can't expect much, but I am feeling very underprepared. Anything helps!

Hi there. I've never been to a pain specialist, so not much help there.

Only comment I have is to write everything down, things like when it is worse, or eases, things like that. Often writing down, one doesn't forget important things when actually in the appointment.
