Many people with FM have sensitivities to particular foods and this varies from person to person. These could be dairy products, MSG and others. The best way to find out if a given food is causing problems is to keep a 2 week food diary listing foods which one consumes and symptoms worsen. Avoiding all pre-processed and refined foods is essential as they contain excess sugar and salt as well as other additives. Sugar should be avoided altogether.
