Hi all, I have not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (yet) as my doctors think I'm a total hypochondriac by now. I would love to hear what you all with fibromyalgia think of my symptoms.. For the past few years I've been thinking there were several different things wrong with me but now I'm starting to believe it's all linked..it has to be!
Okay so a quick bio.. I'm almost 29, stay at home mom to a 5 yr old & 2 yr old. Used to be fairly athletic but no energy for regular exercise in the past year. Stats: 5'3, 122 lbs.
All my blood tests have come back within normal ranges except for slightly higher testosterone.
The majority of my symptoms worsened and flared in both frequency and intensity since we moved and had our 2nd child (over past 2 years)
--Chronic Fatigue..despite Adderall script for ADD (without it I can't stay awake)
-- frequent headaches/migraines
--inability to stay asleep longer then 2 hrs at a time
-- daily muscle pains ranging from my lower back, thighs, neck and chest (feels like heart pain)
-- foggy thinking (this is a new and scary thing)
-- highly sensitive to cold
-- frequently dizzy, especially upon standing up
-- sensitive stomach, easily upset
-- major hair loss over past year
-- low blood pressure and poor circulation..cold and numb extremities
-- major anxiety
(I'm sure there is more but can't think of it right now)
thoughts? insights? similar stories?
I prefer herbal/natural treatments but I'm willing to try anything to help at this point.
Would Lyrica help or something else?
Side note..The chest pain thing freaks me out the most. It has been ongoing for several years..diagnosed with costrochonditis. Always flares up during the cold winter months and don't even notice it during the summer. Had an echo 5 years ago, 2 ER visits last year, basic appt with Cardio and they said all was fine.
I just want to feel normal, play with my girls and not feel like I'm 90 years old!
I look healthy on the outside to everyone but it feels like my body is at war on the inside
Thanks for reading this!
