RR1980, Most towns have in Florida, have Family Health Centers, that are run by the government and operate on a sliding scale payment plan. This means it goes by your income on how much you have to pay to see a doctor. In your area and near Fort Launderdale, there are several such clinic's. If you don't like the ones in your town go to a different town or city.
They can help with medications and testing, check ups and what they don't do there you get referred to another doctor or place, still at a much lowered rate then normally paid. When I lived in Florida, I went to one in Fort Myers, that had good doctors. The cost is pennies compared to most doctors in Florida.
