Hi everyone. I'm new.

I've been diagnosed with ME/CFS. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 37 and was diagnosed this past August but have been enduring this since summer of 2019.

I'm a Navy wife also.

Glad to meet you.

Hi @Marie07 welcome to the community. Have you found being diagnosed helps with treatment, or is it more of comfort to know there's an explanation for how you feel?

Hi. Not much of a treatment is known for this, but when I first got diagnosed I was definitely relieved to know what it was.

I was really afraid it could be MS or something else.

I've read this is worse than MS but I'm still glad to know what it is at least. I'm the kind of person that the unknown is scarier than the known.

It's very true, this is absolutely not the type of thing where "ignorance is bliss". Plus, the constant wondering can affect mental health. If knowledge is power, we at least have the power to find solutions and remedies that may help our treatment and overall well being with the knowledge and finality that a diagnosis brings.
